Thank you to Sreenithi for sharing her running journey, from starting long distance running in 2020, to completing the Plymouth Half in 2021 and now setting her sights on a new personal best for the Plymouth Half 2022!
“My name is Sreenithi Sudhakar. I’m 26 years old and currently live in Plymouth. I have done charity runs beforehand including the Race For Life (for breast cancer) and many 10K runs around Plymouth. During the very first lockdown in 2020, I discovered a passion for long distance running and took on a virtual Half Marathon to help train and prepare for my first official Half Marathon race, the Plymouth Half 2021!
I love a challenge and the Plymouth Half was the perfect one for me, it wasn’t easy but I managed to finish the race with a time of 2hrs 43mins. It was exciting and an amazing experience to cross that Finish line on the day and I couldn’t wait to do it again! Now I’m training to take on Plymouth Half in 2022 and I aim to reach a new personal best of 2hrs and 30mins.”
We can’t wait to see Sreenithi return to run with us again in June and we hope she reaches her target!
Feeling motivated? The Britain’s Ocean City Running Festival has a challenge for runners of all abilities, you can choose from the Plymouth Half, Plymouth 10k or the Plymouth 5k!
